Logo variations you need to have a strong brand

What exactly mean logo variations?

If you want to have a strong brand, you need to advertise your business on different platforms. You’ll have social media, business cards, stationery, packages and etc. A logo variation doesn’t mean different logos. It means that you need variations of one logo design, in slightly different formats.

 01. Primary logo

Places to use: Website and Stationery (Business cards, marketing materials)

This would be your “main” logo. The one that you probably going to use the most. It will be the busiest and the biggest one and it’s used in non-size restricted areas.

02. Secondary/Alternative logo

Places to use: Stationery (Business cards, marketing materials), Invoices, website

Secondary/alternative logos are a step down from your primary logo – just a type-only version or smaller alternative of your primary logo. It’s often used in places with restricted width.

03. Submark

Places to use: Website footers, social media profile pictures, packages, stamps, stickers

This is the smallest version of your logo. It’s often used in places with restricted width. They can be in different colors, only with letters or just a mark. Usually, they are used as profile pictures for all of your social media.

04. Favicon

Places to use: As your Favicon!

What is a favicon? – That’s the little icon displayed next to your website name in browsers. It shouldn’t be very complex and detailed, usually, one or two letters of a graphic element, because it should fit in small spaces. It can be used also as a logo mark, a single element for your branding or a profile image for your social media profiles.
